ICANN wspiera IPv6

ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) zdecydował 
się wyposażyć swoje podstawowe (root) serwery DNS w oprogramowanie 
wspierające technologię IPv6.

ICAAN poinformował, że pierwszymi domenami TLD (Top Level Domain; domeny 
najwyższego poziomu), które zaczęły wspierać od 20 lipca technologię 
IPv6, są domeny .jp i .kr (Japonia i Korea). Kolejną taką domeną będzie 
.fr (Francja).

submitted a recommendation to the ICANN board to allow IANA to “proceed 
with adding AAAA glue [name server] records to the delegations of those 
TLDs that request it,” and suggests some operational guidelines for IANA 
to use in implementing this recommendation.
