size=2>Brytyjski artysta Matthew Noel Tod stworzył wideo <I>Obcy aktorzy /
Foreign Actors</I> w czasie pobytu twórczego w ramach programu
artists-in-residence. Punktem wyjścia projektu jest polskie kino, pojedyncze
sceny z filmów odegrane raz jeszcze i połączone w wideo-kolaż. Artysta wybór
materiałów do swej pracy pozostawił zaproszonym na casting aktorom (zarówno
zawodowym jak i amatorom). Ostatecznie <I>Obcy aktorzy / Foreign Actors</I>
składają się z fragmentów: <I>Człowieka z żelaza</I>, <I>Popiołu i diamentu</I>,
<I>Dekalogu IV</I>, <I>Kolejności uczuć </I>– znanych filmów, które w procesie
scalania, prób i montażu uległy dekontekstualizacji. Dawne sensy zostały
rozbite, na powierzchni zostaje dialog miedzy artystą a aktorami. Dialog
ciekawy, bo bariera językowa wymogła na reżyserze spojrzenie bardziej
emocjonalne, skupienie na formie, estetyce i strukturze poszczególnych
scen.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

of revision and rehearsals, the words and characters from the original films
became recontextualised into a new narrative, including actors and characters
inhabiting multiple fictions and dramatic spaces. Aesthetic, sexual, historical
and dramatic senses are manipulated to create a video that is a dialogue between
artist and actors, between language and image, between past and present. The
film was produced during a residency at<I> </I>the artists-in-residence
laboratory at Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle.</SPAN></FONT></P>
